Nice unveils the Spider series garage door motors for seamless home automation

Nice, a global leader in Home Management Solutions, introduces its latest innovation: the Spider Series Garage Door Motors. These cutting-edge motors were showcased for the first time at R+T 2024 in Stuttgart and they exemplify Nice's commitment to innovation, convenience, and performance, offering unparalleled connectivity, sustainability, and safety features. 

Spider: connecting automation with sustainability

Spider 1200BLW is designed to automate sectional doors up to 16.9 m2 and up-and-over doors up to 19.5 m2. This powerful motor boasts a new 1200N gearmotor equipped with a brushless motor and built-in Wi-Fi connectivity, setting new standards for garage door automation. Seamlessly integrating with gate automations and equipped with a built-in control unit and integrated bidirectional receiver, it allows effortless control via the MyNice app. Moreover, the Spider 1200BLW plays well with third-party devices within the Yubii ecosystem, providing unmatched flexibility.

For intensive use, the brushless motor handles up to 150 cycles per day, and when it’s in standby mode, the integrated standby power module reduces energy consumption by up to 90%¹. Safety features like the anti-burglary functionality and the Eye Check visual control system always ensure users secure operations.

Spider 800W: smart and versatile

The Spider 800W complements its counterpart with a robust 800N gearmotor with built-in Wi-Fi connectivity. It caters to sectional doors up to 11.4 m² and up-and-over doors up to 12.6 m². Just like the Spider 1200BLW, this model offers the same level of connectivity and convenience. Users have the flexibility to customize their setup with either belt or chain drive systems, depending on their preferences. The 800W model shares the same integrated standby power modules and safety features, emphasizing energy efficiency and security.

Installers’ benefits include simplified setup via the BlueBus System, precise limit switch regulation for easy programming, and versatility in installation heights. The Spider series' self-adjusting system minimizes maintenance by automatically detecting changes in weather conditions or mechanical door systems, ensuring safe and reliable operation over time. Plus, thanks to the integrated Wi-Fi and the ability to manage all operations via app, installers can carry out their work from comfortable and secure locations, avoiding dangerous situations. The app allows configuration and monitoring of the motors directly from their own device, simplifying installation and ensuring peace of mind throughout the process.

For a premium and comfortable experience, both Spider motors feature a U shape LED for garage illumination, programmable for up to 4 minutes after operations. The Eye Check System alerts users when maintenance is needed with a red LED light and with a green LED signal when everything is sorted.

Nice’s eco-conscious design, made from over 80% regenerated plastic, aligns seamlessly with the brand’s sustainability goals and certifications, including the Environmental Product Certification (EPD).

Completing the garage system is the Domì W3C, a versatile bidirectional wall-mounted radio transmitter managing up to 3 automations simultaneously. With real-time status feedback and convenient LED indicators, Domì W3C ensures seamless control from inside the home, serving as a reliable alternative when a remote control is unavailable or voice command operation isn’t possible.
