La Roseraie retirement home
Beaupréau-en-Mauges, France
Nice has been chosen as a partner by the company A.I.D.S 85, specialized in the installation of smart home solutions, to automate La Roseraie retirement home, located in Beaupréau en Mauges, France. The installed smart ecosystem aims to improve the safety and well-being of residents and facilitate the work of caregivers, while controlling energy costs.
With a wide range of connected solutions and compatibility with Z-Wave® and Wi-Fi™ protocols, Nice offers a complete and open ecosystem adapted to the needs of collective facilities. Designed to be modular and flexible, it evolves easily over time and according to the needs of people and of the building. It therefore represents the ideal solution for La Roseraie retirement home project, which involves a multi-phased renovation of the 82-room building, with the aim of improving the daily lives of residents and caregivers. In 2022, 42 rooms were fully equipped with Nice Smart Home solutions, and another 40 rooms currently under construction will be equipped with these solutions.
Today, the rooms have been completely redesigned to be managed through the Yubii Home hub. This allows the resident to manage the room independently, thanks to a voice assistant or push-button control, which is present in each room. The voice assistant also allows the elderly person to instantly call the nursing staff if needed. The resident's care and necessary treatment is thus provided in a very short time.
Devices for intelligent lighting management (Nice On/Off-Control) and shutter management (Nice Roll-Control) have been installed in each room. With these devices, residents can control the natural and artificial lighting in their room through voice assistant and connected buttons, according to their preferences and effortlessly. These devices also prevent the user from making tiring or risky movements.
In addition, Nice was also chosen to control the building's energy consumption through centralized heating management. In order to manage the temperature of each room in the facility in real time, more than one hundred Nice Heat-Control smart thermostats have been installed. This makes it possible to program, control, and modulate the temperature by zones and time slots.
Finally, Nice Plug-Control smart outlets were also installed to monitor the building's IT network and thus the security of all installations. The smart outlets can detect any network outages and immediately send a fault alert, to ensure quick troubleshooting and optimal functioning of the entire installation.
"We are proud to have contributed to the automation of La Roseraie residence, and to support its residents and care staff with our systems. The confidence shown in our solutions confirms the quality, reliability, and relevance of our products to seniors and communities. It is proof that the integration of Nice Smart Home solutions allows the elderly to access the benefits of technology, increasing their autonomy, in complete safety. This project also highlights the need to support local authorities in managing energy spending. As in the case of La Roseraie residence, Nice is the ideal partner for implementing appropriate, efficient, and easy-to-use solutions" commented Franck Pichereau, President of Nice France.
